Can someone explain how to play this on a piano? I play guitar and bass, but cannot read music. (Self-taugh; guitar tabs) But I have 3 piano's in my house and it would be awesome to be able to play this song. Is there an easy way of explaining it? (Or even better, is there a Piano TAB out there for this song?)

I learnt the song by ear, it took me a while but I can play it pretty confidently.
Try it, it's not too hard if you're mildly experienced.

what?? both are easy lol.

Hey, for those of you who can play this song...
I have never played piano before but god do I love the sound of it... so as I've borrowed my friend's keyboard and have just today started to attempt to play this song, I am looking for a little help.
My right hand can play the high part comfortably and all to its lonesome, but my left hand needs a lot of help... like I can't seem to make it reach all of the notes it needs to. Basically, I can play the high part and the low part but I have no hope in hell of playing them together because I need both hands to play the lower part. Can anyone offer me any advice? I expect that for a new guy like me, the simple act of coordinating the two parts will be hard as is...
Thanks guys, you rock!

well i'm definitely no whiz at the piano, but all i can say murat is that you just practice them each separately at first. then eventually after playing each about 5-8 times alone, you put the bass & treble clef parts together (right & left together). then practiced doing that for a little bit then it just gets easier from there. & i mean you probably have the timing of the song memorized in your head already, so just take it slow haha, sorry that this is nothing new, but that's how i learned it!

heh fair enough.. so obviously when you play it, your left hand does the bass and your right hand does the treble? I was just thinking that since the treble part is simpler maybe the right hand would cheat and help every once in a while. Stupid there stupid not stupid being any stupid shortcuts.
I will put the time in for practicing then - I was silly to think I had a shot at this song the first time I ever tried to play the instrument.

yeah it might actually. i remember seeing in the live vids where john plays this song he appears to be doing that (the right hand helping the left hand) but i could never figure it out. it's probably some mozart technique or something... i'm not sure. btw, i meant to mention that i made sure i had the BASS part down first, then the treble part. it might not make a difference but it seemed to make things easier for me
p.s. you do have a shot... don't worry. it's not that hard yet it is ya know? there are much harder songs out there, so i'm sure you'll have it down by the end of the week. the first 1-2 pages at least... (psssh, i'm not that good and it took me about half a day total! everything will be fine. lol)
