Dead Poetic - I got the bonus tracks from the links you sent, I just haven't had the time to post here and thank you. Really awesome stuff, you rock!
Does anyone know why the two Best Buy songs were left off the album? I think they're both pretty strong, although I guess I could see how they might mess up the flow of the album.
And is it my imagination, or does the acoustic version of This Is The End sound like it might be the same as the album version, just with the electric instruments and stuff removed? The other tracks are clearly new versions recorded acoustically, but that song sounds way too close to the original, if it isn't the same take then they had to have nailed it perfectly to get it to sound that close.

my guess about the best buy tracks is the same as yours....that they just didnt fit with the flow of the cd as well as the other songs have
as for the acoustic versions, i do remember thinking about that too, but i'll have to go listen again to see what i really think. im going to listen to the album version then the acoustic, maybe it would be easier to tell that way

The flow theory makes sense, although I do really like some of the bonus tracks. I don't have the time is my favorite.

Well, after almost a month of waiting, I finally got the new album and it's everything I was expecting it to be, and I was expecting it to be brilliant! Except that there is no bonus tracks

so i've liked their cover of joanna newsom's peach, plum, pear for a month or 2 now.
and today i was reading a script for an audition neil simon's "laughter on the 23rd floor"
and it was weird... cuz one of the lines reads "the peach. the pear. the plum." it's in the script twice in fact.
not exactly in the song's fruit title order, but how funny. maybe she was referencing an author of the mid 1900s
