First off, I love this album. I think The Needles the Space is by far the best album straylight run has made, and probably one of my all time favorite albums.
But, smoking up and listening to the cd is actually a much better experience.
Michelle's voice is just...it's mesmerizing. There are so many little subtleties that you won't notice if not under the influence. The ending of "How do I fix my head" with the super fast drumming is amazing, over the barrage of instruments in "take it to manhattan". There's more to comment on, but I'll leave it there.

You may be laughing a lot right now, but you wait until you get stoned and put this cd on.
Your laugh will turn into you thanking me for this amazing recommandation of a solo recreational activity.

Okay, I'm not sure if you're a pot smoker or not. Hypothetically speaking, let's say you're not.
But let's say one day you go to a friend's house and you see delicious brownies sitting around. You then eat those delicious brownies, then your friend comes down and is like, "What the fuck? Okay, you're gonna be fucked!! Those were laced with pot!" (this happened to my friend, except he accidently ate shroom brownies).
So you're all fucked, but then you happen to see the straylight run cd lying around. Don't hesitate to pop that in, and it'll sound different than what you normally hear while sober.
But who knows? I'm guessing that you don't hang out with people that leave pot brownies lying around. Or maybe you do, who knows?
