hmm..
i am now very concerned about you justin.
anyway, you're the only person i know who leaves britney spears voicemails. or goes from doing a good impression of simon cowell to some lost irishman looking for his damned luck charms
or... was that an english-australian accent?
haha, either way... you got talent! and co-host a cool podcast show thing. so no worries.

oh gosh... we're writing another show to perform in january...
oh goshhhhhh....
i have so many ideas for scenes and monologues that my brain might ((pause))... try and ((pause))... leave me... for ((pause))... someone... else? yeah... i don't know. i'm pretty scared about that...
anyway, 2 people brought in manchester orchestra and radiohead music to rehearsals today. we might use those songs in the show. go her and her/my friends. they're awesome.

this thread is my friend. it's like my own world in here. i have rights* to this thread, yo!
it's like a... blog i suppose.
so anyway. the show we wrote goes up this friday and saturday! agh! there are still lots of minor details to work out. we only started blocking/running each scene on monday of this week and it's been going pretty smoothly. most of the scenes, sound, and lighting designs are all coming together! woo! THANK GOD!
also, as we get done reading our lines, we get to rip out our scripts all over the floor of this small stage that we're on. (there's no time to memorize lines, are you kidding me?!). the stage is sort of in the round too (audience on 3 sides of the stage)... awesommmmmme. but kinda hard to make sure you don't have your back turned to too many people in the audience.
*april really does not have reserved rights/copyrights to this thread. but please... never take it away? if so, there's a 10% chance april will start a petition for its return.

thank you!
our first rehearsal was september 2nd and the show runs 4 nights starting october 9th. i've almost got these 70 pages of lines down. can't wait til i'm independent of the script!
oh man, and this one person in the play... let's just say i love it when this person is sick and misses rehearsal. this person just depresses me so much and makes me second guess my whole existence and motivation in theatre in general. i ucking hate this person, but i think most people love this person. this person always looks so judgmental and negative... they take the fun out of everything... i don't get it.
i had to vent. this has been ongoing since november 2007. they have made me hate theatre pretty much. i have been avoiding theatre lately. ha

it's not exactly the same thing but there is a kid in my intro to education class that i always cross my fingers and hope that he drops out. he thinks he knows everything there is to know about education and how to run a classroom and how the system works. and he always has an opinion and makes our class go into overtime and as that is on my 12 hours of class day i have to hold back.
but i'll hope that kid doesn't show up for you too because i can definitely empathize.

lol. yeah people are weird. i had a guy like that in one of my economics classes 2 years ago. haha. he was just plain annoying. he just always interrupted the teacher with 30 questions in any given class session.
this person is different. they're not so much annoying. in any case, i just ignore this person pretty much, which works since our characters need to be awkward when on stage talking to each other anyway. i'm gonna keep ignoring this person. yay!
oh and i wanted to mention that this play is about DEATH (the grim reaper) running for president. my character helps death's political campaign. there are 2 people cast as the character of death, which allows death to pop up on stage (within seconds of the other person playing death disappearing) anywhere he wants and scare the cast half to... death.

death would make for an interesting president. i think he'd win on the fact alone people would be too afraid to not vote for him.

GOSHHH dang . . .
this play is going SO well! tech week is in... two weeks! EEK! right now, the stage set is so dang white house white too. it feels like i'm in a dreamy cloud when i'm up there. i seriously feel like i'm not even there when i'm up there. it's weird.
oh and of course i'm off book by now (not relying on the script anymore). EE YAY! i hadn't exactly been running lines to begin with, but i discovered a new way to learn lines fast. so then after using this method, i made my usual mp3 recording of everyone's lines other than my own. MAGICAL! i love doing voices for the other characters! :-D
yeah, so anyway. listened to my recordings 2 or 3 times and i was set! MEMORIZED!

the only other time i was interviewed was for a yearbook. this newspaper thing was only like 3 questions though. they're interviewing the director and 1 or 3 other characters in the play. i wonder if they'll use the promotional photos we did a few weeks back. the article is gonna be in the college paper as well. i should scan it in or something when it's finally out.
years ago, for that product my dad has (you know the one -- http://www.santas-secret.com) he had this big article in the arizona republic or mesa tribune with this photo of him by our christmas tree and boots all around him. i wish i hadn't been at school that day so i could see them at our house interviewing him!

improv troupe auditions today! ahhhhh!
i probably won't get cast, but whatever. i'm not feeling very motivated to audition today. i really just wanna go to sleep. though i know that once the audition is under way i'll feel a lot better and happy.
and at least i have some green tea with me!
