haha... that's amazing. thank you carla, christian, jen, & sarah!! & of course... diana! lol that's a very creative title & post well i'll be playing the minor character Letta who like gets picked up & goes on this double date with one of the main character Willy's sons. there are 8 male roles, but only 4 or 5 female roles altogether in the play & i think 1 of those female roles is a major one (Linda, the mom). but it's much bigger production than the last play i was in... so yay!!! exciting stuff

ah you really should take it! i was never a theatre ummm geek? or whatever they called during high school or junior high. i took 3 acting classes in those 6 years, but in college it's better. the teacher teaching the class should enact a policy that the class should be accepting of everyone so that you're more confident & everything. but i dunno what it is... i don't normally care what people think of me anywayz so in acting... it's just
funtastic! you should see if you'll like it then withdraw within a week or 2 if you don't! lol.
but you can always take an acting literature class... oh but umm sometimes they do make you perform some of the things you read in class... so maybe take some cinema study related class where you watch movies every class? there are so many things in the theatre dept.

haha yeah well i have a problem with public speaking, ive gotten suprisingly a little better at it. i guess what teachers always say is kinda true. the more you do it, the easier it gets. even though i hated every second of my speech class it did help... but as long as i know what im talking about. i still freak out though... i dunno, i need to get over it more if im going to be a teacher! haha... but it doesnt seem to bother me as much/at all when talking to people who are younger than me...i dunno

repetition & pushing yourself (even it's just you volunteering to read a little bitty paragraph from a book you all are discussing in class) helps a LOT. i remember back in 7th grade, i thought i was this really confident person prior to presenting these project type things in class. so i wasn't really worried at all. but when i got up there... OMGOSSSHHHHH... i pushed through it but i couldn't exactly breathe too well!! it was one of the first few weeks at a new school & definitely not elementary school anymore so i was... nervous apparently! it just kinda jumped at me after a few seconds of standing in front of the class! terrifying!!! then i dunno what happened...! i had some friends who were popular & really confident, charming, & well-liked, so i guess i just kinda started observing them whenever they would talk in front of the class (beginning acting is all about observing as well). not to say i copied, but it helps you develop your very own kind of confidence ya know? it's weird. okay sorry to keep rambling, but speeding up to a little over 2 years ago: there was something interesting i learned when i took my first communications class in college... everyone no matter how famous, or how good of a gosh darn speaker or actor you are... ...they STILLLL get nervous!!!! they just hide it so very well. i'm amazed to find that i can essentially do that too... YAY! i dunno about all the other celebrities or presidents or key note speakers in the world, but TODAY whenever i personally do something in acting or public speaking-related... i get nervous for about 5-10 seconds & then BOOM! it's gone. just remember that your audience is intrigued by YOU & what YOU HAVE to say... FOCUS strictly on your IMPORTANT message & what point you are REALLY trying to get across/convey to them (NOT on how bad you think your hair or clothes look, or if they'll think that what you're talking about is super dumb...) & i swear... you'll sit back down & wonder how that pointless nervousness was able to slip right out from under your feet & disappear right outta that room. hahahah... if you bothered to read all that... thank you!!!! i won't type this much anymore i promise
