I'm a solid drummer. I am good with the metrinome, and everyone around me says that I am a very good. I have put in a fair amount of studio hours, and have been hired to play for different people who need a fill in. Drumming is what I really love and would give up almost anything to do for the rest of my live. I was wondering how one goes about becoming a studio or touring drummer. I am going to school for elementary education right now, but I was thinking about dropping out and getting my bachelors in drum performance so I could go into drumming as a career. Would that be practicle, or would it be better to just wait till I get my degree in education, and then take a year or two after I graduate to see if its for me. and if I did decide to do either one, how hard is it to get auditions?
