I need some help. I need to know a good, durable drum stick. I usually find sticks I use fall apart quickly. thanks

i've been using vic firth american classic 5B wood tips for years. they treat me very well.
try out a bunch of sticks and see what feels best and what is the most durable.

how thick do the sticks get? I've seem some fat ones, and some skinny ones.

Sticks can actualy get very large in diameter, and pretty small too. What stick you use though does determine the sound you want.
For most rock really a 5B (Not very thick, but enough to make an impact on the drum) or 7A (Smaller, but light and easy to move around quickly.)
Any other size comes to eprsonal preference. If you like to feel the weight and a heavy sound, go thicker, if you like lots of mobility and a softer sound, go smaller.
I personally use Vic Firth American Classic 7A Hickory wood tips.
