Well basically im in love with the way will plays his drums, the snare fills are outstanding, soo to become better and more like your style of drumming i would like to know: - How long do you normally practice for? ( how many days, how many hours in a day?..etc) - What does your practice general involve? - What would you recommend to other drummers to practice? - Is there any techniques to become quicker, faster more creative and save time? - Any other information you would think relevant. i am not a great drummer, i'd still call myself fairly newish but i know the majority of the basics, still any tips thanked don't just think these is open to will to post in every-one post your tips to success, Thanks in advance, Stillwaiting

I would suggest practicing snare drum rudiments. I have found that the bust way to develop good stick control and feel is with the basic rudiments (Pair-a-diddles, doubles strokes, single stroke roles, 5 stroke roles, 10 strokes rolls, flams, flam accents, etc).
The best advice I was given is to watch your stick hights, playing everything that is not an accent at the same volume. These rolls always sound the best when all the hits inbetween the accents are even.
Last piece of advice from me, is to to play these rudiments with a metranome. Playing these rudiments at temops of 80 and 90 or 100, can almost be as hard as playing at 220. So, just start slow and work you way through all the tempos.
I am looking forward to hearing Will's advice!
Ps. There is no substitute for a good teacher. Having a weekly lessons tends to keep me more focused and keeps a steady practice schedual.
