Hey Keving;
I have an opportunity to pick up a "Grestch Catelina Jazz" kit for a steal of a price. I just wanted to hear what you thought of them.
The ones I am looking at are WMP like yours, as well as all the same sizes. Yours looks great, and I think it would be a great addition to any drummers arsenal. I thought they would be a great little kit to have on hand.
any inforwould be great!
thanks matthew

If you can pick one up for a steal i say go for it. The kick drum sounds a lot better than i had expected it to. i snagged some random premier 10x9, 14x14, 20x14 for 175 bucks and I love it. I saw the catalina jazz in a natural wood finish somewhere and personally wish i bought that one

unfortunately drums are one of the more expensive hobbies out there. My current band hasn't recorded yet we are going to do so in feb when my C&C kit that is being built arrives. I would love to have tons of drums to experiment in different tones and tunings but Money is a huge issue i tend to sell gear that isn't 100% nessisary. 18" kick drums can be fantastic, but for rehearsal with my band it was simply not enough. I think 20 is absolutely the most flexible kick drum size, 14" depth for punch 16" for projection. since this is wills forum i'll note that when i saw SLR at the epicentre, his 20" ludwig (thanks to tuning and a good sound guy) sounded all around better than an earlier band using a 22x18.
